Monarch shifts annual pre-Christmas lunch to Buckingham Palace as royal changes unfold
Buckingham Palace has released a fresh statement as King Charles honours brave and devoted individuals while making a notable change to royal Christmas traditions.
On December 16, the royal familyโs official Instagram shared a heartwarming video of King Charles at Buckingham Palace, where he awarded The Kingโs Gallantry Medal and The Kingโs Commendation for Bravery to individuals recognised for their extraordinary acts of courage.
The message highlighted Georgia Laurie, who received the medal for saving her sister from a crocodile attack in Mexico in 2021. โCongratulations to all the recipients for their remarkable bravery!โ the post read, celebrating their heroism.
This update comes as HELLO! reported that the royal familyโs annual pre-Christmas lunch will now take place at Buckingham Palace instead of Windsor Castle. The decision follows ongoing scrutiny over Prince Andrewโs alleged ties to a Chinese spy, which continue to spark controversy.
Despite the challenges, the royal family is expected to maintain their cherished tradition of a festive walk at Sandringham on Christmas Day, delighting royal watchers during the holiday season.
