King Charles Highlights Support for Veterans as Andrew Leaves Windsor
King Charles III’s office has released a touching video with a powerful
message, just hours after Prince Andrew was seen leaving the royal residence
amid ongoing controversy.
The video, shared on the social media accounts of the Royal Family and The Not
Forgotten charity, showcased an uplifting event held at St James’s Palace.
Hosted by the Duke of Gloucester, the gathering provided injured veterans with
a memorable experience during the festive season.
Accompanying the video was a meaningful message: “A wonderful afternoon for
injured veterans at St James’s Palace, hosted in the beautiful State
Apartments by HRH The Duke of Gloucester. An unforgettable experience like
this can give struggling and isolated veterans a vital mental lift at this
time of year.”
The video underscores the Royal Family’s enduring commitment to supporting
British Armed Forces veterans. The Not Forgotten Association, a charity
dedicated to serving and ex-service personnel who are wounded, injured, or
sick, provides entertainment, social activities, and respite for those in need
across the UK.
The release comes as Prince Andrew remains embroiled in a scandal linked to
his alleged ties to a Chinese spy. Hours before the video’s release, Andrew
was seen in public for the first time since withdrawing from the Royal
Family’s Christmas celebrations.
By spotlighting its unwavering support for veterans, the Royal Family
continues to reinforce its values of service and dedication, offering a
stabilising presence during a challenging period for the monarchy.
