Kensington Palace has released a touching statement from Princess Catherine as
the royal family celebrates uplifting news.
Marking her gradual return to royal duties after announcing her remission from
cancer, the Princess of Wales made a meaningful visit to Tŷ Hafan, a
children’s hospice dedicated to supporting families with children facing
life-shortening conditions.
In a special moment, Catherine was officially named the new patron of the
charity, following in the footsteps of King Charles and the late Princess
Diana, who both previously held the role as Prince and Princess of Wales.
The palace shared delightful photos from the visit, capturing the Princess
warmly interacting with children and families at the hospice.
In her heartfelt statement, Catherine expressed:
“Love, empathy and kindness is right at the centre of @ty_hafan’s work.”
“Today’s visit was incredibly moving—seeing the care and compassion provided
to children with life-shortening conditions and to their families. Spending
time with some of them today highlighted the vital work done by Tŷ Hafan to
support families throughout life and beyond.”
Her message comes as the royal family also celebrates the arrival of Princess
Beatrice’s daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, adding to the spirit of joy and
renewal within the monarchy.
