Royal Carriages Take Centre Stage on Day Four of Ascot

High-stakes races and soaring heat mark a stylish Friday at the course

Day four of Royal Ascot delivered a heady mix of racing drama, royal flair,
and summer style as Berkshire basked in 28°C sunshine.

Two Group 1 showdowns—the Commonwealth Cup and the Coronation Stakes—headlined
the day, each offering a £650,000 prize. With key withdrawals narrowing the
field, frontrunners seized the spotlight in thrilling fashion.

The racing card also featured the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes and the Group
3 Albany Stakes, keeping the pace intense throughout the afternoon.

Off the track, racegoers dressed to impress, donning elaborate hats and
elegant summer ensembles while managing the heat with fans, shades, and plenty
of hydration.

The royal procession brought additional grandeur. King Charles and Queen
Camilla led the first carriage, accompanied by The Lord and Lady Cavendish of
Furness.

Following closely were Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani, The Marchioness of
Lansdowne, and The Earl and Countess of Caledon. The third carriage featured
The Lord and Lady Bamford alongside renowned trainer Willie Mullins and his
wife.

Bringing theatrical flair to the final carriage were Lord and Lady Lloyd
Webber, joined by The Rt. Hon. The Lord Benyon and Lady Benyon, rounding off
another quintessentially regal day at Royal Ascot.
