Royal sisters likely to reach out as Meghan celebrates her 44th in Montecito
Meghan Markle is celebrating her 44th birthday today, and while official greetings from senior royals are unlikely, two familiar faces within the royal fold may still acknowledge her special day.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie — the daughters of Prince Andrew — are believed to be among the few members of the Royal Family who may privately send birthday wishes or a small gift to Meghan, following recent signs of royal reconciliation.
Royal expert Jennie Bond noted that while the Duchess of Sussex shouldn’t expect public messages from working royals, the York sisters’ ongoing closeness to the Sussexes could inspire a more personal gesture.
“I don’t think Meghan should hold her breath for birthday messages from the Royal Family,” Bond shared. “Though it may well be that Princess Eugenie — and possibly Beatrice — will send a present or a card.”
Bond added that Harry is expected to make the day memorable in Montecito with their children, Archie and Lilibet, noting, “I’m sure Harry will want to make a fuss of his wife on her special day.”
The potential birthday nod comes as King Charles initiates private discussions with Prince Harry, signalling the early stages of mending fractured ties. Though Meghan remains on the periphery of those talks, the gesture from Beatrice and Eugenie would be a quiet show of support.
Despite past media claims of tension, a source previously told People that Harry and Princess Eugenie remain “very close,” a bond that seems to have withstood the public fallout within the family.
As fans await glimpses of Meghan’s birthday celebration in California, attention now turns to whether any subtle royal olive branches will surface amid the festivities.
