Fans spot insect crawling on food in clip shared by Duchess’s lifestyle
brand
Meghan Markle has come under fire after fans spotted an embarrassing detail in
her latest promotional video.
The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand As Ever shared a clip on Instagram
showing Meghan making tea beside a plate of cookies decorated with jam and
flower sprinkles. But viewers quickly noticed what appeared to be a small
insect crawling across one of the cookies.
The slip sparked a flurry of reactions online. “There’s literally a BUG
crawling around on the plate! You think Meghan would notice this BEFORE
posting!” one user commented. Another wrote: “OMG… there IS a bug! I had to
look really hard but it is definitely there!” A third added simply: “Oh my god
there is a creepy crawly on the plate.”
The timing of the blunder was especially awkward, as it came just as Meghan
released the trailer for the second season of her Netflix series With Love,
Meghan.
Despite the criticism, As Ever has been receiving celebrity support. Earlier
this week, Khloé Kardashian promoted the brand on social media after Meghan
sent her bottles of wine and a jar of honey. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland,
has also been spotted mingling with the Kardashian family at Los Angeles
events, underscoring their close ties.
