The Duchess of Sussex shares emotional confession in Netflix series
Meghan Markle has revealed the emotional toll of being separated from her children, Archie and Lilibet, during a candid moment on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess returned to TV screens with the show’s second season, and in one episode featuring British-American fashion designer Tan France, the conversation turned to parenthood and the struggles of time apart from loved ones.
Tan admitted, “I might die without my kids. I need my boys. If I don’t see them for a couple of days, I feel like my heart is broken.”

Meghan responded with her own painful experience, saying: “Oh, I know. The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks. I was… (pauses) not well.”
The Duchess’s reflection echoes a difficult period in 2022, when she and Harry were forced to spend nearly three weeks away from Archie and Lilibet. At the time, the couple had travelled to the UK for charitable events but remained there after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. They stayed until the Queen’s state funeral on September 19.
Meghan’s candid words have once again highlighted the personal challenges she and Harry have faced while balancing royal obligations, public scrutiny, and family life.
