Buckingham Palace Issues Heartening Update as King Charles Opens Door to Harry

Balmoral concert announcement arrives ahead of Duke of Sussex’s London
visit

Buckingham Palace has shared a new update that coincides with growing signs of
reconciliation between King Charles and his younger son, Harry.

On September 1, the monarch’s team released a set of cheerful photos from a
concert at Balmoral Castle, the royal family’s traditional summer retreat.

The Palace message explained, “Last week, Classic FM recorded a very special
concert at Balmoral Castle for radio broadcast.” Hosted by Alan Titchmarsh,
the hour-long event featured the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, of which the King
is Patron, alongside other Scottish musicians.

According to the Palace’s spokesperson, The Honours of Scotland Concert will
air on Classic FM on Friday, September 5, at 7 pm.

The timing of the announcement is noteworthy, as it comes just before the Duke
of Sussex’s planned visit to London for the WellChild Awards on September 8.

In July, King Charles had also responded warmly to Harry’s offer of
reconciliation, with aides from both sides meeting in the UK—a development
viewed as a hopeful step after years of strained relations between the
Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
