Prince Harry has been warned that his path to rebuilding trust with the royal family hinges on how he handles the aftermath of his recent private meeting with King Charles III at Clarence House. The monarch reportedly granted Harry’s request for a one-on-one conversation following talks between their aides in London.
While the details of their discussion remain undisclosed, royal watchers see it as a significant step toward possible reconciliation. However, according to royal expert Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, this is where Harry’s biggest challenge begins.
Eden explained that the royal family will be watching closely to see if Harry can remain discreet. “The big test is whether he can keep quiet about what they spoke about during this private meeting,” he said. “The Palace wants to see that he can be trusted, that he won’t give out details and neither will his spokesman or sources close to Meghan Markle.”
He noted that the coming days are especially critical, given past incidents where information allegedly leaked from Harry and Meghan’s camp, which angered the royals.
“Personally, I think Harry will want to keep this private because he’s desperate to restore relations with the royal family,” Eden said. “But whether he can do that really remains to be seen.”
