Former GMB host says U.S. President was “on great form” following Windsor
visit
Piers Morgan has shared details of a personal phone call he received from
Donald Trump shortly after the U.S. President’s State Visit to Windsor Castle.
The outspoken broadcaster said Trump was “on great form” and full of
enthusiasm about his royal day out. Taking to Instagram, the 60-year-old
former Good Morning Britain co-host wrote:
“President Trump called me for a 10-minute chat before leaving Windsor. He was
on great form — absolutely loved his big royal day, and being back in the UK
again.”
Morgan added that he also spoke briefly with the First Lady, noting: “She
sounded equally happy about how it’s all going on the state visit. Great to
hear!”
Alongside his post, Morgan shared a photo of himself with Trump, saying the
President was “happy to be” in the United Kingdom.
