New photos of the Prince of Wales released after his candid comments on
change within the monarchy.
Kensington Palace has issued its first statement following Prince William’s
recent interview, where he spoke openly about his vision to modernise the
monarchy.
On October 2, the Palace released several new photos of the Prince of Wales
alongside actor Eugene Levy, taken during filming for The Reluctant Traveler
on Apple TV+. The caption read, “A pleasure to welcome you to Windsor,
Eugene!” marking the Palace’s first official acknowledgment of the
headline-making episode.
In the interview, William discussed his approach to future leadership and his
belief in thoughtful evolution within the royal institution. “I think it’s
safe to say that change is on my agenda — change for good,” he said. “I
embrace that and I enjoy that change; I don’t fear it.”
He added that the idea of bringing “not overly radical change, but changes
that need to happen” is what excites him most about the future.
Kensington Palace’s update coincided with the episode’s release on Apple TV+,
signalling a moment of both personal and public reflection for the Prince —
one that has drawn attention across the world for its honesty and optimism
about the monarchy’s next chapter.
