Meghan Markle Ends Years-Long Feud After King Charles and Harry’s Reunion

Duchess of Sussex sends a clear message of peace during Paris Fashion Week
appearance

Meghan Markle appeared to close the chapter on a long-rumoured feud during her
latest public outing in Paris, just days after a private meeting between King
Charles and Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex made headlines with her solo appearance at the
Balenciaga show on October 4, where she attended to support her friend and the
brand’s new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. But it was her warm
interaction with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour that truly captured
attention.

In a now-viral video, Meghan and Wintour were seen greeting each other with
smiles and a friendly kiss, dismissing years of speculation about tension
between them. Cameras caught Wintour saying, “Nice to see you,” before
praising Meghan’s elegant all-white look, adding, “Beautiful, Cherie. You look
amazing.”

Rumours of a rift between the two had circulated for years, reportedly sparked
by creative disagreements over Meghan’s Vogue magazine collaboration. Their
recent encounter, however, seemed to put those whispers to rest.

Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that the reunion was more of a
“fashionista ritual” than a genuine moment of affection. “Meghan’s rounded
cheeks and small gasp of fond recognition should have laid any rumours of a
spat to rest,” she explained. “But everyone in the business knows that an
air-kiss can be shared between friends or rivals alike.”

Still, Judi added that both women appeared eager to project a united front.
“They were both looking keen to announce a friendship to the world here,” she
said.

Meghan’s Paris appearance followed a significant moment of reconciliation
within the royal family, as Harry met with King Charles at Clarence House — a
meeting widely viewed as a hopeful step towards healing long-standing family
tensions.

With her poised and public show of goodwill, Meghan seemed to send a clear
message: she’s ready to move forward, leaving feuds firmly in the past.
