Meghan Markle’s return to acting, a move that has once again sparked
widespread discussion about her royal ties.
On November 6, the royal family’s official social media accounts shifted the
spotlight to Prince William, celebrating the success of his fifth Earthshot
Prize Awards Ceremony. The Palace shared a series of photos featuring the
Prince of Wales with climate activists, innovators, and celebrities,
commending his continued efforts to address climate change.
In its message, the Palace wrote, “The Earthshot Prize, founded by The Prince,
is a global challenge to find, support and celebrate those who turn bold ideas
into real solutions to repair our planet.” The post added that the event was
“a moment of celebration, highlighting the impact achieved by past Earthshot
Winners and Finalists, and sparking the imaginations of young people around
the world who could be future Prize Winners.”
This comes shortly after reports confirmed Meghan Markle’s surprising return
to acting. According to The Sun, she was recently spotted on the set of Close
Personal Friends, a new film currently being shot in California. People
magazine later confirmed that Meghan has a “small role” in the project, though
further details remain under wraps.
The Duchess of Sussex, who stepped away from acting after marrying Harry in
2018, is best known for her role in the hit legal drama Suits. Her decision to
return to Hollywood has raised questions about whether it could affect her
royal title, especially in light of King Charles and Prince William’s firm
stance on maintaining the monarchy’s standards.
