Meghan Markle declines Harry’s holiday plan

Duchess focuses on work in the US as Harry considers Christmas visit

Harry is facing an awkward holiday dilemma after Meghan Markle pushed back on his wish to spend Christmas in the UK.

The couple, who stepped away from royal life in 2020, usually mark the festive season quietly at their Montecito home with their children. This year, though, Harry has been weighing a return to Sandringham after meeting King Charles at Clarence House in September, raising talk of a possible Christmas invitation.

According to Closer Magazine, Harry has said he would like to be in the UK for the occasion if he is asked. Meghan, however, has reportedly turned down the idea, saying she is already committed to several projects.

The holiday edition of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan launches on 3 December. Her lifestyle brand As Ever is preparing seasonal promotions, and she is filming Close Personal Friends as she steps back into acting.

A source said Meghan still feels hurt by past tensions and wants to stay focused on their life in the United States, both personally and professionally. She is committed to her filming schedule and has accepted invitations to multiple seasonal events. She also plans to host gatherings at home and spend time with the children.

Meanwhile, Harry is said to feel increasingly unsettled in America. Meghan, the source added, is tired of discussions about his family and wants him to prioritise their household.
