Andrew’s latest demand slows down talks over leaving Royal Lodge

Insiders say negotiations with King Charles have all but stalled

Andrew has reportedly been given formal notice to give up his lease at Royal Lodge and move into another private property, but the situation is far from resolved. According to royal commentator Rob Shuter, Andrew has responded with a fresh set of demands before he will even consider leaving the estate.

Shuter said Andrew is not only refusing to move but is digging in firmly. He has allegedly told those around him that he wants £75 million before he will think about giving up the residence. Sources also claim he is insisting on a large six or seven bedroom home on the Sandringham Estate as a replacement.

His expectations do not stop at the house itself. Andrew is said to be asking for a full household staff, including a cook, gardener, housekeeper and driver, along with continued police protection so his lifestyle mirrors what he currently has at Royal Lodge.

Insiders pointed out that years ago Andrew prepaid £8.5 million for a 75 year lease, which gives him legal standing and prevents King Charles from simply removing him without negotiation. For now, Shuter said the talks are moving slowly and Andrew may hold out for months or even longer.

Meanwhile, the King has begun a formal process to withdraw Andrew’s remaining styles, titles and honours due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
