Former Duchess seeks a home of her own as Andrew prepares to leave Royal Lodge
Sarah Ferguson has been offered temporary accommodation by her daughters as she searches for a home of her own.
According to The Times, GB News reported that one of their daughters has made a granny annexe at her Cotswolds home available, while the other has encouraged her mother to use her holiday property in Portugal when needed. Those close to Andrewβs former wife believe neither option is a workable long term solution.
Reports say she is now looking for a permanent place in the Windsor area and is keen to build a life separate from Andrew. Friends told The Times that she is determined to remain in Britain and establish an independent base where she can continue her work.
Her search comes as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has formally given notice to leave Royal Lodge. The required notice period means he will stay responsible for the property through next year, and he is not expected to hurry his departure.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles late last month due to his association with Jeffery Epstein, and King Charles has instructed him to vacate Royal Lodge. Sarah Ferguson also lost her Duchess of York title after Andrew announced on 17 October that he would no longer use his Duke of York title.
