Source says Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor hopes to hold on to his lifestyle even after leaving his Windsor home
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to try to maintain a comfortable royal routine even after he leaves Royal Lodge, according to royal historian Andrew Lownie. He told The Express that Andrew has agreed to move out of the 30-room home only after certain conditions were met, including being allowed one final Christmas there with Sarah Ferguson.
Lownie also suggested that Andrew may eventually settle in the Middle East, where he could live more quietly while keeping familiar support and staff. The move, now pushed into early 2026, signals his determination to preserve a sense of status despite his reduced public role.
Reports say that Andrew and Ferguson are currently receiving closer support from royal staff at Windsor because of the pressure they have faced in recent months. According to OK! Magazine, aides have increased their presence around the couple to help them manage the strain of ongoing scrutiny.
These developments follow the King’s decision to remove Andrew’s remaining titles and instruct him to leave Royal Lodge as attention intensified around his past association with Jeffrey Epstein. Losing their home and the continued media attention have left the former couple struggling to adjust to the changes surrounding them.
