Insider claims the Duke of York feels sidelined while the Princess of Wales rises in influence
Fresh claims suggest Prince Andrew is quietly harbouring resentment towards Catherine, believing she has taken the authority and standing he feels should have remained his.
A source speaking to Heat World says Andrew has struggled to accept Catherine’s growing role within the Royal Family. According to the insider, he views her as a central and widely respected figure while he has been pushed to the margins. In his mind, that shift represents something taken from him as the late Queen’s son.
Catherine, however, is said to be keeping her distance. The source claims she is not engaging with Andrew at all and is not attempting to undermine him. Instead, she reportedly finds his behaviour troubling and supports the stance taken by King Charles III.
The situation is described as awkward for Catherine, who allegedly feels pushed into maintaining that distance. Even so, the insider adds that she is relieved to have the space. Andrew, on the other hand, is said to be unable to understand why she would want to disengage, choosing instead to frame himself as the wronged party.
The source concludes that rather than showing any self reflection, Andrew has turned the situation into what they describe as a personal grievance, reinforcing a familiar pattern of seeing himself as the victim.
