Duke of Sussex’s long-awaited talk with the King faces setback
Harry’s much-anticipated meeting with King Charles may not happen after all, as the monarch’s schedule is expected to keep him away from London during the Duke of Sussex’s visit.
Harry is due to attend the WellChild Awards in London on September 8, while the King will mark the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death in Scotland. According to royal expert Jennie Bond, this clash makes it unlikely the father and son will be able to meet.
Even so, Harry is expected to connect with other family members. Bond suggested that he may spend time with his cousins, their daughters, who have remained close to him in recent years.
As for the prospect of a reunion with William and Catherine, Bond dismissed the idea, saying the rift between the brothers runs too deep. She added that William is focused on his own commitments and not on repairing ties with Harry.
For now, a reconciliation between the brothers appears to be far off.
