King Charles highlights Prince Edward’s military engagements as Harry
prepares to visit London.
In anticipation of Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to the UK, King Charles III’s
office has shared uplifting news about Prince Edward’s recent royal duties.
Through the royal family’s social media accounts, Buckingham Palace announced
that Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, conducted significant military
engagements in Estonia. The post, accompanied by Edward’s photo in military
uniform, stated:
“As Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Dragoon Guards, The Duke of Edinburgh has
visited troops currently deployed to Estonia and attended a training exercise
in Harju County.”
The Duke’s visit included observing a cold weather training exercise, an
annual event where soldiers learn survival skills such as building camps,
making fires, and sourcing food and water. Edward also toured Tapa Camp, an
army base in Laane-Viru County, and later attended the Battlegroup Officers
and Warrant Officers Reception at Vihula Manor.
This meaningful overseas visit coincides with the Duchess of Edinburgh’s
upcoming 60th birthday, marking a celebratory time for the royal couple.
Prince Harry is set to return to London in the coming days, drawing attention
to his relationship with the royal family. While the Duke of Sussex prepares
for his solo trip, the Palace’s focus on Prince Edward’s contributions
underscores the ongoing dedication of senior royals to their public duties.
