Former royal considers Abu Dhabi escape as pressure grows over Epstein scandal
Former Prince Andrew is preparing for a major relocation as he plans to move into a fourteen million dollar villa in Abu Dhabi, following renewed scrutiny over his links to Jeffrey Epstein. Radar Online reports that the disgraced royal views the heavily protected estate as a place where he can avoid the intense media spotlight.
According to an insider, the Abu Dhabi residence has become his only real option for stepping away from public pressure. The villa, said to be offered by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, includes a home cinema, an indoor swimming pool and a private gym.
The move comes as lawmakers in the United States increase calls for him to provide testimony, while King Charles grows more frustrated with the continuing fallout from the Epstein controversy. One source said Andrew sees the region as the one place he can retreat from the constant noise, adding that people around him believe he may need some distance sooner rather than later.
Another source claimed he would be comfortable living in a country with tightly controlled media, where he would still be viewed as a senior royal figure and could keep a low profile.
Meanwhile, a separate insider said Charles and Queen Camilla have reached the end of their patience and are tired of the damage the situation continues to inflict on the monarchy.
