Royal insiders fear the ‘comeback Queen’ could cause fresh turmoil for the family
Sarah Ferguson is once again drawing intense concern inside the royal household, with a royal commentator warning that she has become a “ticking time bomb” after the removal of titles linked to her and Andrew.
Phil Dampier, writing for Woman’s Day, said friends believe she has been close to a breakdown, although they also note her long history of bouncing back. He argued that this resilience is exactly why the Palace should stay alert.
According to Dampier, Sarah knows more about the inner workings of the royals than most. If she ever chose to go fully off script, he suggested that any tell-all interview or memoir could overshadow the revelations that came from Harry and Meghan.
For now, Dampier said her priority is simply finding a new home. Options being discussed include relocating to Portugal to be closer to one of their daughters, spending time in Australia with her sister Jane, or moving into a renovated outbuilding on one of their daughters’ Cotswolds properties.
