Luxury dog treats and royal accessories mark monarch’s return to pet ownership
King Charles III has introduced a charming new venture close to his heart—the Balmoral Pet Collection, a luxurious range of gourmet dog treats and accessories inspired by his beloved Scottish estate.
The collection features hand-baked dog biscuits priced at £5, crafted in small batches in the kitchens of Balmoral Castle using wholesome ingredients like wholemeal flour, egg, and chicken stock. Marketed as “100 per cent natural biscuits, lovingly made in small batches for your four-legged prince or princess,” the treats reflect the royal family’s signature blend of heritage and quality.
Alongside the treats, the range includes high-end accessories made from traditional Scottish tweed, including a dog collar (£32), matching lead (£40), treat pouch (£30), and a regal feeding bowl (£28) adorned with the royal coat of arms. Also joining the royal pet fashion scene is the £44.99 Happy Hound tweed coat from the Sandringham Estate shop—touted as stylish, water-resistant, and machine-washable, perfect for chilly countryside walks.

The launch of the Balmoral Pet Collection coincides with a heartwarming moment for the monarch: the adoption of Snuff, an Italian Lagotto Romagnolo known for its truffle-hunting skills. The pup is the King’s first personal pet in over 20 years, following the loss of his beloved Jack Russell, Tigga, in 2002.
With the debut of this elegant pet line, King Charles not only returns to dog ownership but also introduces a touch of royal charm to pampered pups across the country—blending tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep affection for man’s best friend.
