Monarch Highlights Prince of Wales’ Role in Diplomatic Corps Reception
Buckingham Palace has shared a heartwarming update about the royal family,
showcasing King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William at the prestigious
Diplomatic Corps Reception held on November 20.
Photos from the glamorous event were released on the royal family’s official
Instagram page, accompanied by a statement detailing the significance of the
occasion:
“Last night The King, The Queen, and The Prince of Wales welcomed guests from
the Diplomatic community to Buckingham Palace for the annual Diplomatic Corps
Reception. There are more than 170 High Commissioners and Ambassadors based in
London at any given time, and each one has an Audience with The King shortly
after taking up his or her role.”
The event, attended by esteemed figures from around the world, also served as
a moment for King Charles to highlight his son’s growing role in the monarchy.
Prince William, as the future King, accompanied his father, demonstrating his
integral position in representing the royal family on the international stage.
Notably absent from the reception was Princess Kate, who continues to focus on
her recovery after completing her cancer treatment. Royal expert Robert Jobson
explained to HELLO! that Kate is prioritising her health. “Kate’s very aware
of what the future holds, so she’s taking the time to focus on getting fit and
strong again while she can and doing it on her terms,” Jobson said.
The Princess of Wales’ absence underscores the royal family’s balanced
approach to their duties, with William stepping into key roles while Kate
takes the necessary time to regain her strength. The touching tribute from
King Charles highlights the enduring bond and shared responsibilities between
the monarch and his heir.
