King Charles Releases Video Message as Camilla Adjusts Royal Duties Amid Health Concerns

Buckingham Palace Updates Programme for State Visit Amid Queen Consort’s
Recovery

Buckingham Palace has issued an update on Queen Camilla’s adjusted schedule as
she continues to recover from a lingering viral chest infection. The Palace
also released a video message from King Charles ahead of the much-anticipated
State Visit by the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Sheikha
Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.

The video outlined the traditional elements of a State Visit, including the
ceremonial welcome, Guard of Honour, Carriage Procession, and Gun Salutes. The
Palace confirmed that a State Banquet will take place on the evening of the
guests’ arrival, with the monarch delivering a speech during dinner.

Prince William and Princess Catherine will lead the ceremonial welcome for the
Qatari royals, marking Catherine’s return to major royal responsibilities
following her cancer recovery. The Princess of Wales is set to play a
prominent role throughout the visit, reinforcing her position as the future
Queen.

Queen Camilla, meanwhile, will skip some parts of the programme, including the
outdoor ceremonial events, as doctors have recommended rest to ensure her full
recovery. Despite her absence from key activities, the Queen Consort is
expected to attend the State Banquet and view an exhibition at Buckingham
Palace.

The Palace’s adjustments underscore the importance of balancing royal
traditions with the health and well-being of key members of the family as they
navigate this significant diplomatic occasion.
