King Charles Shares Heartfelt Message as William and Catherine Begin New Chapter

Monarch expresses deep sorrow over Cambridgeshire train attack while the
Wales family settles into their new home

King Charles has released a deeply personal statement following a horrific
knife attack on a Cambridgeshire train, expressing shock and sympathy for
those affected.

In a message shared by Buckingham Palace on November 2, the King said, “My
wife and I were truly appalled and shocked to hear of the dreadful knife
attack that took place on board a train in Cambridgeshire last night. Our
deepest sympathy and thoughts are with all those affected, and their loved
ones. We are particularly grateful to the emergency services for their
response to this awful incident.”

Signed simply “Charles R,” the statement reflected the monarch’s compassion
and concern for the victims and their families.

The King’s message came as the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly
completed their move to Forest Lodge, their “forever home,” after months of
renovation. Earlier reports had suggested that the family would move closer to
Christmas, but plans appear to have shifted.

The move marks a fresh beginning for William, Catherine, and their children as
they settle into their new residence, following Catherine’s ongoing recovery
journey at Adelaide Cottage.
