Monarch joins efforts to raise cancer awareness on World Cancer Day
King Charles has released a touching video statement in support of World
Cancer Day, following Princess Kate’s emotional message marking the occasion.
The video highlights the tireless efforts of doctors, nurses, charities, and
families dedicated to cancer care and support. The Royal Family’s official
message read, “This World Cancer Day, we are sending love to all those
navigating a cancer diagnosis – as well as the incredible doctors, nurses,
charities, and families who work tirelessly to support them.”
The Palace also shared a list of organisations providing crucial support for
cancer patients, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Maggie’s Centres, and
Cancer Research UK. These charities offer vital services ranging from
emotional and financial support to research and treatment advancements.
King Charles’ statement follows in the footsteps of Princess Kate, who earlier
shared a deeply personal message about resilience and healing. Both the King
and Princess of Wales revealed their cancer diagnoses in 2024, with Kate now
in remission while the monarch continues his recovery.
The royal family’s coordinated efforts reflect their commitment to raising
awareness and supporting those affected by the disease.
