Body language expert says her behaviour made her look in charge
Meghan Markle is facing criticism over her behaviour toward Harry in her Netflix Christmas special With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. Viewers questioned the way she interacted with him on screen, and one body language expert suggested she came across as overly dominant.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, analyst Judi James said Meghan’s gestures looked affectionate on the surface but lacked genuine respect for Harry. She explained that Meghan often slipped into a motherly role during the special, even handing him a towel while joking about him sweating and giving him light kisses as he ate.
According to James, the dynamic made Harry appear like a “surrendered male,” allowing Meghan to take centre stage. She described their on-screen rapport as a “complementary fit” where Meghan played the maternal figure and Harry appeared more childlike.
James added that some moments bordered on embarrassing for Harry, including the towel comment, which she felt came across as belittling. While she noted that Harry seemed relaxed and even content in the role, she argued that Meghan’s tone felt more like an indulgent put-down than a sign of respect.
