Meghan Markle irritates Prince William as her holiday special lands close to Catherine’s Christmas event

Scheduling clash puts Meghan Markle back in William’s line of fire

Meghan Markle has stepped into Catherine’s space once again, and it has reportedly left Prince William more than a little irritated. The tension surfaced after Meghan revealed that her With Love, Meghan Holiday Celebration would shift from a November release to early December, only days before Catherine’s Together At Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.

An insider told New Idea that Catherine’s event date was set months ago, while Meghan’s special had originally been planned for November before post-production delays moved it into December. According to the source, Meghan is presenting the change as a simple scheduling decision from Netflix, which handles the crowded Christmas release calendar. Even so, the timing is raising eyebrows.

Catherine’s concert will take place on 5 December, while Meghan’s programme airs on 3 December. The source suggested that Meghan always wanted her show to land before Catherine’s event, and ideally as close to it as possible. The aim, in their view, was to risk creating overlap in tone so that any similarities would be interpreted as Catherine copying Meghan rather than the reverse.

The insider also stressed that Catherine would never attempt to compete with Meghan, but said the situation speaks for itself. What seems to matter most is that the date clash has annoyed Prince William. He reportedly feels this is not the first time Meghan has inserted herself into Catherine’s plans and cannot understand why she continues to do so.

In his view, the situation could have been avoided, yet it has turned into another unnecessary conflict between Meghan and Catherine.
