Meghan Markle could be lining up a new book for 2026, but it is unlikely to be the long-rumoured tell all memoir many have expected.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold believes the Duchess of Sussex is more likely to build on her recent lifestyle success instead of revisiting her past in print. Speaking about her future plans, he suggested Meghan will continue carving her own path rather than following the model of her husband’s headline making autobiography.
Harrold said any book from Meghan would probably sit alongside her growing brand, taking inspiration from her Netflix project and business ventures. That could mean a cookbook, a wellness focused guide or a written extension of her series With Love, Meghan, rather than a deeply personal memoir.
He explained that while Meghan has lived an eventful life, she has already spoken openly about many of her experiences in interviews. From his perspective, there may be little motivation to revisit those stories in a traditional tell all format.
Instead, the focus appears to be on lifestyle and home centred content, especially following the launch of As Ever, which offers everything from gourmet food items to curated homeware.
At 44, Meghan has had a packed year, balancing multiple seasons of her Netflix series with the rollout of her new brand. Harrold also suggested this direction may suit the wider Royal Family, who are thought to prefer lifestyle projects over fresh controversy, particularly after the fallout caused by Prince Harry’s memoir.
For now, if a book does arrive in 2026, it looks far more likely to be about recipes, routines and personal style than royal revelations.
