The Duchess of Sussex honours youth advocate Katie and stresses the
importance of shared support among parents
Meghan Markle has spoken about the powerful impact of the Archewell
Foundation’s Parents Network, an initiative dedicated to helping families
affected by social media-related harm.
In a heartfelt address, Meghan described meeting parents whose lives had been
“absolutely shattered” by tragedy—families who lost children to suicide linked
to online pressures, and others battling depression, anxiety, or self-harm
brought on by the digital world.
Backstage, she gave special recognition to youth advocate Katie, saying, “What
we learned in these moments is that these parents didn’t just need therapy;
they needed other parents who understood their very specific grief.” Meghan
went on to note that when these families came together, “they weren’t just
sharing stories, they were creating a movement.”

For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex looked effortlessly stylish in a
blue-and-white striped shirt reminiscent of her memorable Wimbledon look from
2018. She paired it with navy high-waisted trousers and a tan belt, completing
the outfit with gold stud earrings and layered bracelets. Her sleek bun,
softly defined makeup, and bronzed glow added a touch of understated
sophistication.
Through her words and presence, Meghan underscored the importance of
compassion, connection, and community in helping families heal from the darker
side of social media.
