Meghan Markle shares first Christmas message just hours before King Charles’ annual speech

Duchess opens up about festive family plans in a personal holiday note

Meghan Markle has shared a warm Christmas message revealing how she and Harry
are spending the day with their family, released just hours before King
Charles delivers his annual Christmas speech.

In her first Christmas message to the public, Meghan sent a newsletter to
subscribers of her As Ever brand, offering a glimpse into a quiet and cosy
celebration at home. She wrote about placing presents under the tree for their
children to discover in the morning and keeping the magic of Christmas alive.

She described Christmas Eve as relaxed and familiar, with leftover food from
their dinner, last minute gift wrapping, and a late night check to make sure
Santa had been properly catered for. According to Meghan, it was all about
preserving that sense of wonder through their children’s eyes.

Looking ahead to the day itself, she said the plan was simple. Pyjamas, board
games, music in the background, candles lit, dogs sleeping nearby and plenty
of food within reach. She said the focus would be on laughter, slowing down,
and making memories together.

Meghan also used the message to wish readers a Merry Christmas, whether they
were spending the day dressed up or staying in, surrounded by family or on
their own. She said she hoped everyone reading felt the warmth and blessings
of the season.

Her message landed shortly before King Charles’s traditional Christmas
broadcast, which was recorded this year at Westminster Abbey.
