Technical glitch interrupts launch as As Ever expands with Netflix support
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever has run into another awkward moment,
just as the second season of With Love, Meghan premiered on Netflix.
On Tuesday, fans who scanned a QR code featured in the new episodes were
directed to the online shop—only to find placeholder items like shirts
labelled “example product line” instead of actual products.
Despite the glitch, the launch went ahead, featuring a restock of Meghan’s
popular herbal teas and the debut of an orange marmalade. Both items quickly
sold out, and Netflix celebrated the rollout as a success, announcing a new
multi-year deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to further expand the As
Ever brand.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria praised the momentum, saying:
“Fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As
Ever line consistently selling out in record time.”
Earlier, Meghan had teased the season by sharing a clip with fashion designer
Tan France as her first guest.
The stumble follows a recent promotional misstep that drew viral attention: a
cookie advertisement in which viewers spotted a tiny insect crawling across
one of the biscuits. Social media users were quick to point it out, sparking a
wave of online chatter.
