The Duke of Sussex is said to feel his wife’s recent social media activity
mirrors Sarah Ferguson’s past behaviour.
Meghan Markle’s latest online activity has reportedly sparked frustration for
her husband, the Duke of Sussex. According to Page Six, Harry isn’t pleased
with the way his wife has been sharing glimpses of their private life, which
some observers say feels reminiscent of his aunt Sarah Ferguson’s approach to
publicity.
In recent days, Meghan, 44, posted several photos of family moments with
Harry, 41, and their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, celebrating
Halloween. The images showed the family at pumpkin patches and carving
jack-o’-lanterns. She also shared a picture of herself and Harry seated beside
basketball icon Magic Johnson at a World Series game.
“He’s very aware of her parading him around,” a source told the outlet. “He
doesn’t love the social media displays.”
The insider added that Harry was also uneasy about Meghan’s decision to tie
her new As Ever Holiday Collection “Signature Candle No. 519” to their wedding
date, May 19, 2018. “He knows things like that don’t look great and feel a bit
like something Fergie would do,” the source explained, referring to Sarah
Ferguson’s history of using her royal connections in business ventures after
separating from Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
While the couple’s marriage is reportedly steady, Harry is said to be feeling
the strain of how they are perceived publicly. “The excitement has faded,
which happens in most relationships,” the insider noted. “But he’s also aware
of how much he’s sacrificed for her.”
