Prince Harry reportedly seeks Meghan Markle’s approval as King Charles III shows support
Prince Harry is said to be considering enrolling his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in a school in the UK — a move that would bring them closer to their royal relatives. According to a report in the Daily Mail, Harry has been discussing the idea with Meghan Markle, hoping to gain her approval before making any decisions.
Royal commentator Richard Eden revealed that a close friend of Harry said, “Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK.” In his Eden Confidential column, Eden wrote that Harry feels his children are missing out on the close family network enjoyed by their cousins.
Prince William and Catherine’s children — often seen together at family events — currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire, which costs about £32,000 a year. Harry’s friend told Eden, “Harry wants his children to have the very best education. He’s kept his closest friends from his school days at Ludgrove School and Eton College, and he wants that for his own children.”
Convincing Meghan may prove challenging, as she is reportedly opposed to boarding schools, once calling the idea “barbaric.” The source added, “There is still some negotiation for Harry to have with Meghan. The King, however, is delighted.”
Archie is six and Lilibet is four, so a move is unlikely to happen soon. The talks come shortly after Harry’s private meeting with King Charles III at Clarence House, which has been seen as a small step toward healing the family rift.
