Duke wanted season two of With Love, Meghan to belong entirely to his wife
Prince Harry’s absence from the second season of With Love, Meghan raised
eyebrows when the series dropped on Netflix on August 26. Unlike the first
season, where he made a brief cameo during a family brunch, the Duke of Sussex
stayed off-camera this time — sparking speculation that the move may have
upset Meghan.
A crew member has since revealed the real reason behind Harry’s decision.
Speaking to PEOPLE, they explained: “Whenever Harry visited set, he was always
super polite and friendly, but it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s
moment to shine.”
Meghan, 44, also made a deliberate choice when it came to the filming
location. Instead of shooting at the Montecito home she shares with Harry and
their children, Archie and Lilibet, she opted for a nearby rental.
“I wanted to protect that safe haven,” she told the outlet. “We’re a
close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap,
having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day. Our
kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus
people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”
While his on-screen absence drew attention, Harry’s decision appears to have
been an intentional show of support, ensuring the spotlight remained firmly on
Meghan as she continues to shape her own brand and voice.
