Duke hopes to introduce their children to King Charles, but Meghan Markle isn’t ready to return to the UK
The Duke of Sussex is hoping to spend part of the holidays in the UK to reconnect with King Charles, but the idea has reportedly caused strain with Meghan Markle. After seeing his father only once in almost two years during the King’s cancer treatment, Harry is keen to rebuild their relationship in the year ahead.
Meghan, however, is said to feel uneasy even talking about a return to the UK and would prefer to stay in Montecito. According to a source, Harry wishes she would join him so their children can spend time with their grandfather, but she has no interest in making the trip.
The insider added that Harry doesn’t want to travel with the children on his own, which has left the couple at odds over how to handle the holiday period. For now he is reportedly prepared to go alone if he must, though it’s not what he wants.
What should be a cheerful season has instead become tense for the pair, with the disagreement casting a shadow over their holiday plans.
