The Duke of Sussex shares how he and Meghan Markle’s children see their
parents’ work
Prince Harry has opened up about what his and Meghan Markle’s children really
understand about their family’s life and work.
During his appearance on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast on October 29,
the Duke of Sussex spoke about parenting, social media, and the couple’s
ongoing charitable efforts through their Parents’ Network.
In a lighthearted moment, Hasan asked Harry what his children — Archie, 6, and
Lilibet, 4 — think he does for a living. “That’s a good question,” Harry
replied with a laugh. “They know that we help other people, but they don’t
know the background.”
He added that their kids are more curious about the people on his calls than
the work itself. “They’ll run in, jump on the phone, and say, ‘Hi guys!’ They
just love seeing familiar faces,” Harry shared.
The Duke of Sussex, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to
the United States with Meghan, said that while Archie was a baby at the time
and Lilibet wasn’t yet born, both children have grown up surrounded by their
parents’ various projects.
Harry continues to focus on mental health advocacy and the Invictus Games,
which he founded in 2014 to support wounded veterans. Together, he and Meghan
also run the Archewell Foundation, which includes a media division and
partnerships with Netflix.
Recently, Meghan revealed that Archie and Lilibet have shown an interest in
her work too. The children joined her on the set of With Love, Meghan Season
2, released in August, where Archie was spotted holding a clapperboard and
Lilibet sat proudly in a director’s chair.
