Sarah Ferguson Speaks Out After New Book Revives Past Scandals

Duchess of York focuses on her own literary success amid explosive claims in ‘House of York’ biography

Sarah Ferguson has responded publicly just one day after fresh allegations about her personal life surfaced in royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s new release, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.

Taking to social media on 6 August, the Duchess of York shared a heartfelt message celebrating the ongoing impact of her own historical novel, Her Heart for a Compass. Posting photos from a recent Amazon Influencer Program event, she wrote:

“Her Heart for a Compass was always meant to be a bridge between hearts, stories, and generations. Being able to sign copies and speak with these incredible creators brought me right back to why I wrote it in the first place. Thank you.”

Her remarks came as Lownie’s book made headlines for her controversial claims, including that Ferguson kept a list of men she was romantically interested in following her 1996 divorce from the Duke of York. Reportedly, names on the list included Kevin Costner, George Clooney, Tiger Woods, and John F. Kennedy Jr.

The author further alleged that Ferguson harbored jealousy toward Princess Diana, claiming she became “furious” when the Princess of Wales met JFK Jr., allegedly exclaiming, “He’s mine! Why can’t she just leave him alone?”

While the Duchess did not address the accusations directly, her post shifted focus to her own literary achievements, highlighting themes of connection and storytelling — a clear contrast to the sensational details dominating recent headlines.
