Zara Tindall Confirms She’s Staying in the UK

Princess Anne’s daughter rules out permanent move despite long Australian
stays

Zara and Mike Tindall have ended speculation about leaving Britain, confirming
they will not be relocating abroad despite spending months away from their
family home.

The couple, who married in 2011, have enjoyed extended time in Australia this
year. They attended the Magic Millions racing event on the Gold Coast in
January and returned in July to cheer on the British and Irish Lions. Since
then, they have remained Down Under, with Mike, 46, recently sharing clips
from their trip, including one supporting the Wallabies.

Their lengthy stay had sparked rumours of a permanent move. However, Zara,
Princess Anne’s daughter, has ruled out leaving the UK. While the Tindalls do
not have a permanent base in Australia, they continue to spend time there when
schedules allow.

In a 2019 interview with Australian Women’s Weekly, Zara admitted she could
see herself relocating one day, though not while she is competing: “It would
be a little bit hard commuting. But after that, yes, I think if an opportunity
came up, we’d definitely think about it.”

Mike has also spoken of their love for Australia, praising its slower pace of
life. He recently wrote on Instagram about a trip to Hamilton Island: “Despite
all the times we have been to Australia, we have never been here before and
it’s been amazing.”

For now, though, their permanent home remains in Britain.
