Sources say family worried about his wellbeing as Epstein fallout continues
Palace insiders say Andrew’s recent behaviour has raised concern about his emotional wellbeing as the fallout from his past association with Jeffrey Epstein continues.
According to a report from Radar Online, those close to him have been unsettled by some of his recent comments. A source said the former royal has sounded increasingly overwhelmed and distressed in private moments, prompting senior figures to worry about how he is coping.
Andrew has been out of public life since losing his military roles and royal patronages, and sources say the continued scrutiny has weighed heavily on him. They describe periods where he fixates on negative thoughts and repeats them during long, rambling monologues.
One insider said he keeps referring to the riding accident his sister Anne experienced last year and draws bleak comparisons in a way that suggests he is struggling to manage his emotions.
Anne has spoken openly about the accident at Gatcombe Park, explaining that she remembered nothing from the moment she was struck by a horse and felt fortunate to have recovered. She spent five nights in hospital and later said the experience reminded her how quickly life can change.
Those close to Andrew hope he will accept support as the situation around him remains difficult.
