Kensington Palace shared a personal message from Kate Middleton wishing
England’s rugby league teams good luck ahead of the World Cup in Australia.
The message came hours after royal commentator Rob Shuter reported on Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans for more public appearances in the UK.
According to the report, Harry and Meghan visited Nottingham for their first
joint appearance since moving back to Britain in August. They met members of a
community they have supported for years. The couple first visited Nottingham
together in December 2017.
Shuter quoted unnamed sources who claimed the couple viewed the latest visit
as a success and planned to hold more events similar to royal engagements.
Kate’s message focused on England’s men’s, women’s and wheelchair rugby league
teams.
Wishing the England Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair Rugby League teams the very best as they travel to Australia for the Rugby League World Cup.
Good luck to all the players, coaches and support staff representing England on the world stage. 🏉

She wished the players, coaches and support staff the best as they travelled
to Australia to represent England. The message was signed “C” for Catherine,
showing it was a personal message from the princess.
Kate became patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League in
2022. These roles were previously held by Harry, who gave them up after
stepping down as a working royal.
Although Kate’s message followed reports about Harry and Meghan, it did not
mention the couple or their plans.
